Hello all!

This month we have three talks for you, with something for beginners and experienced Rubyists alike.

First up, Tom Dalling will answer the age-old question: “What are blocks?”

Next, Selena Small will make her triumphant return to the RORO stage to ponder: “What is MVC?”

And finally, Tristan Penman will dive deep into “Building a Gem with native extensions”.

All this plus the usual food, drink, socialising… and post-meetup food, drink and socialising

Hope to see you there!

Tristan Penman

Thanks everyone for a fun night, and for the good questions!

And finally, a blog post that goes into a bit more detail:

Exciting to see all the new coder academy devs at the meetup keep going guys, here is a link to a talk about learning to code by reading code https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nsnAYRqYLA which ultimately ties in to the tech newbie site https://www.codenewbie.org/

Michael, thank you very much for the insight from a prospective employer point of view. We are grateful to have crossed path with you. The advice was invaluable. Also thanks for the link to youtube. Will definitely share it in the class.
