About the role

Our team is growing and we are looking for a genuine team player who can proactively share best practice and ideas to improve the Product Team’s systems and performance.

We are in need of a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is ready to help unblock current and potential issues, and likewise ask for help when stuck. We want someone who can learn existing systems and technologies to be able to identify and fix bugs, can play a role in at least one multi-person project and and has ability to review the work of other engineers in the team

Your day-to-day role will include:

  • Build and maintain functionalities in our core car sharing platform across the stack
  • Integrate with internal and external systems
  • Write and maintain test cases to ensure adequate code coverable and reliability in making code changes
  • Document changes to aid other developers and collaborators
  • Collaborate within and across squad to achieve key objectives and results
  • Follow and ensure best engineering practices, contributing to the direction of our technical environment

Experience required:

  • 3+ years of Full Stack engineering experience
  • Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent degree is preferred
  • Exposure to at least one frontend technology with additional advantage of mobile app development
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Rspec, Minitest, Cucumber, and exposure to code analysis and formatting tools such as Rubocop
  • Understanding of key ideas around building, scaling and maintaining high performance web applications and mobile apps
  • Professional software development experience with Ruby on Rails and Javascript-based frameworks
  • Experience with mobile app development, especially with Flutter/Dart would be an added advantage
  • A focus on detail around testing, documentation and infrastructure
  • Understanding and experience in optimising applications for performance and scalability are an added advantage
