We are looking for an accomplished Back-End Developer to join our fun team. Ruby on Rails is the primary platform and whilst RoR experience would be advantageous, we are interested in finding a talented professional with a willingness to learn and collaborate. As a Developer at Hardhat, you will be involved in projects from inception to final delivery, collaborating with the strategy team, the design team and the front-end development team throughout the entirety of a project.
Some of your attributes and responsibilities will include but it will not be limited to:

Software development in Ruby on Rails (and optionally JS, .Net or Python if that’s your flavour)

Designing and building databases (Sqlite, MySQL, Postgres)

Process improvement and new ways of working to improve efficiency

Integrating with (and writing your own) APIs

Writing Javascript / Typescript

A proven track record in a similar role

An active blog or Github account (or equivalent)

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science

Experience in any non-run-of-the-mill programming languages (think Clojure, Rust, Haskell, D, Prolog, Go, etc, etc)
