Full Stack Ruby Developer

We are looking for a mid to senior level full-stack Ruby dev with 2 to 5+
years years experience.

A bit about SupporterHub

Over the last 4 years, SupporterHub has built an innovative and
fully-featured relationship management platform, tailor-made for non-profit
organisations and charities. It enables these organisations to stay focused
on changing the world by combining cutting edge technology, open
integrations and a simple to use interface with a very powerful data
science oriented foundation.

This project began life as an in-house project at one of the world’s
largest charities, and we are now bringing the platform as a commercial
offering to non-profit organisations all over the world. It’s a great
chance to get involved in an exciting company at an important stage of its
journey.

Our technology

Our stack is Postgres, Ruby (Padrino as the web framework, Sequel for the
ORM) and AngularJS (v1) for the frontend. We use JIRA for issue tracking
and Git for source control.

This is a large project that a team of four to five devs have built over
the last four years. It’s very open platform with its own API and numerous
interconnects with other platforms in the NFP, marketing, and payment
processing spaces.

Required technical expertise

We are looking for candidates with a solid experience in Ruby, or
exceptional candidates who have web experience in another dynamic language
(e.g. Python, Perl or PHP) and a willing to cross-train.

As mentioned above, core skill requirements are:

  • Ruby
  • SQL
  • JavaScript

And although the following skills aren’t required, they certainly aren’t
going to hurt your chances:

  • CSS & HTML
  • Some exposure to machine learning
  • An understanding of statistical analysis
  • An ability and passion for learning new things
  • Mobile app development
  • An understanding of web security: common attack vectors and defences
  • An innate curiosity and an eye for detail

Location: North Sydney, Australia

Start: Immediate

Employment: Full-time

Remuneration: This will vary according to skill level, but expect a
competitive offer for the right candidate.

We are not currently interested in approaches from recruiters, thanks.
